I've actually been "cooking"!

Yes, I've found some pretty good recipes that I've tried out over the past few weeks. OK, so it's only 2, but I think I'm getting better in the kitchen! They were very easy so that helped a lot. I don't like long complicated recipes, that's what turns me off of the kitchen. Anyways, I got this first course from the Kraft Food and Family Fall 2008 magazine.

I don't have the recipe typed on the computer so I'll have to try and add it tomorrow! It was VERY simple though! I made it about a week or 2 ago.
I made this tonight:
Puppy Chow
I have to say that I got this recipe from someone's blog but I cannot remember as to who! I'm very sorry, but I thank them for posting it, THIS ROCKS!


Puppy Chow aka Puggy Chow
Makes many servings
9 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
2. In 1-quart microwavable bowl, stir together chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Stove-Top Directions: Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside. In 1-quart saucepan, heat chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Recipe from the Chex website.
